The sculpture workshop aims to broaden the creative possibilities for our pieces through interventions with texture, deformations, incisions, and the combination of pieces.  Results can include organic or unusual forms. Together we will discuss the concepts that emerge from each students work. Primary techniques that we will use include splinting, pinching, rolling, and throwing.

Fredy Granillo worked for more than 15 years in a Talavera style ceramics workshop in El Salvador, Central America. He holds a B.A. in ceramics from the National University of El Salvador.

Fees: Tuition includes your first 25 lbs of clay and first bisque firing. There is an extra fee for glaze firings dependent on the size of your pieces.
