2013 Paint the Town General Schedule for Artists

Thursday, April 25

8-noon, check-in at RiverArts Gallery, 315 High St., Suite 106, Chestertown; paint in Chestertown and throughout Kent County.

Friday, April 26

9-11 a.m., coffee available at RiverArts Gallery; paint in historic Chestertown and throughout Kent County.

5-7 p.m., Wine, Cheese and Crackers for artists at River Arts Gallery (optional, of course, as some painters may want to continue painting).

Saturday, April 27

9-11 a.m., coffee available at RiverArts Gallery; paint in historic Chestertown and throughout Kent County.

3 p.m. Artists hang art for Wet Paint Show and Sale.

4 p.m. Deadline for all art (at least two paintings or more) to be framed and hung by artists in assigned spaces at RiverArts Gallery (approx. 34 x 72”). A table for framing will be set up in the gallery Saturday afternoon. Please make sure that that frames and panels, canvas, paper and glass are pre-fitted, wired, and ready to assemble. Size limit: no wider than 30” framed. All paintings must fit within each artist’s assigned space on the gallery walls. The spaces will not allow for overlap. No wrapped canvasses please.

3:45-4:00 p.m. Artists vote for the Artists’ Choice Awards.

4:30-5 p.m. Sneak Preview for Patrons. Announcement of Artists’ Choice awards.

5-7 p.m. Reception. Wet Paint Exhibition and Sale open to public.

7 p.m. Artists check in unsold work for Second Look exhibit. (2 paintings per artist.)

7:15 p.m. Casual buffet dinner for artists served at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, located within short walking distance in downtown historic Chestertown.

Sunday, April 28

8:15 a.m. Stamping of canvas, panels and paper at RiverArts Gallery for Quick Draw event.

9-11 a.m. Artists paint in downtown historic Chestertown.

11:15 a.m. Artists lined up with works on easels, framed or unframed, for display and judging at Fountain Park. A table for framing will again be available in the morning at RiverArts.

11:45 a.m. Announcement of prize winners.
