RiverArts Opened on September 7 with Ribbon Cutting
Chestertown RiverArts grand opening began with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 4:30 followed by a reception on First Friday, September 7. Two complementary shows: A Member’s Show of talented Artists and a Pottery Show featuring the quality work of our Clay Studio Artists introduced our artists to the community.

RiverArts GALA Great Success
Chestertown RiverArts hosted a Fundraiser GALA on Friday, September 14 from 7:00 to 10:00 in the newly renovated Gallery at 315 High Street. Co-Chairs JoyceMurrin and Vida Morley planned a great GALA with the theme “Art’s Alive at RiverArts” and guests were greeted and served by a live American Gothic painting, one of Picasso’s ladies and several Van Goghs. The RiverArts GALA included live music by local musicians, Phil Dutton on the keyboard and Mike Buccino on the bass, bountiful appetizers, wine and a spectacular silent auction.
