The 11th Judged Photography Show Opened First Friday, April 5 at RiverArts
First Friday, April 5, was the opening reception for RiverArts 11th Judged Photography Show from 5-8 pm. This is a highly popular show with historically-wide ranging participation from regional photographers. All forms of photography will be on view – B/W, color, traditional film and digital works on varied subjects.
For the first time there will be a panel of judges, headed by Neal Jackson, www.nealjackson.com. The other two judges are Anna Norton, www.annagnorton.com, and Brendon Hoffman, www.primecollective.com. Awards will include Best in Show, First, Second and Third Place, and Honorable Mentions. These awards will include modest monetary prizes. The presentation of awards and Mr. Jackson’s remarks are scheduled for 6pm. Explanations for the awards to particular pieces will be next to the winning photographs.
The show will run through April 26. Gallery hours are Wednesday – Friday, 11:00 – 4:00, Saturday, 9:30 – 4:00 and Sunday, 12:00 to 3:00. Pick up of artwork from April show is Friday, April 26 from 11 to 4:00 and Saturday, April 27 from 9 to 12:00.
