Two Workshops with Heidi Wetzel Coming in September
Heidi Wetzel is an award-winning fiber artist and basket weaver and she will be offering two RiverArts workshops geared towards the beginner in September. Heidi, originally from the Black Forest region of Germany, now lives in Easton, but her work is frequently on display in our gallery. She likes to mix colors and textures, creating patterns that utilize many materials found in nature.
To get a feel for Heidi’s work, visit her website at www.heidiwetzel.com. To register for either or both classes, click on the ‘Add to Cart’ button below, call 410 778 6300, or email the gallery at firstname.lastname@example.org. Classes will be small so register now!
On Tuesday, September 10th, Heidi will work with students to weave around a glass vessel to create a beautiful and functional vase one can fill with fresh flowers, fall foliage, or winter branches and berries. All materials are supplied in this fun class, which will run from 10 to 4 in the small gallery. There will be a break for lunch. Cost is $60.00; RiverArts members pay $50.00.

WEAVING A VASE
On Tuesday, September 24th, Heidi will return to teach another class, this one resulting in a wonderful hand-woven basket. Class will run 10 to 4 as above; cost is $70; $60 for RiverArts members. Imagine your creation filled with bread or cookies on your fall table, or on the mantel holding balls, ornaments, or pinecones. A basket or vase personally made by you would also be a great holiday gift.
