American Visionary Art Museum Bus Trip – October 13, 2020

Join RiverArts on Friday, May 15, for a bus trip to the American Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore and a tour of the mega-exhibition, “THE SECRET LIFE OF EARTH: Alive! Awake! (and possibly really Angry!)” with founder, director and curator Rebecca Hoffberger.

New Gallery Director Sue Wilson

Great news! Sue Wilson will be the new Gallery Director at RiverArts. Sue combines an artistic eye and attention to detail with strong administrative skills and genuine warmth toward RiverArts members, artists, and the community at large.

Elizabeth Healy

Elizabeth is one of the dynamos on our KidSPOT team. She coordinates our popular After School Enrichment Program, the Kids in the Gallery visual literacy program, the First Friday Youth Art Exhibits, and is a tireless promoter of all things KidSPOT.

Les Palmer

Les is our KidSPOT Greeter (and attendance counter- we need him to collect all that data)! He is an invaluable member of the KidSPOT team, and a former RiverArts board member.

Xidan Zhang

Xidan is a whirlwind! She volunteers at KidSPOT on Saturday mornings and for the After School Enrichment Program – the kids all adore her. She also teaches Calligraphy and Chinese painting workshops, is a RiverArts Gift Shop and Gallery artist…and she is a senior at Washington College. We will miss her.

Anna Maloney

Anna is our ace KidSPOT Saturday morning volunteer assistant. She is always ready with a smile to help Rebecca, parents, grandparents and the kids. Little known fact, she is also a darn good artist!

Gift Shop Artists of the Month

Elsie Inzer, fabric artist and Dianna Frymiare, potter and glass blower, are our new Gift Shop Artists of the Month. Stop in and see their new work! hours are Tuesday – Friday, 11 am – 5:30 pm, Saturdays 10 am – 5:30 pm, and Sundays 11am-3pm.

Sue Wright and Mary Pritchard for helping to recruit advertisers and artists, expert review of the Studio Tour Brochure, and keeping the committee grounded and focused! Enjoy the 2 new Studio Tour venues at the Arts Alive Education Center and the Kent County Arts Council Building.
