RiverArts Coronavirus Update

RiverArts will suspend in-person group programs and activities in all our locations for 30 days beginning March 13. This includes group classes, KidSPOT sessions, Clay Studio open hours, Life Drawing, Photography Club, and Plein Air groups, RiverArts Film Society screenings, and public events.

We believe people need the Arts more than ever during times of stress and crisis, and we remain committed to growing community, creativity, and connection through the Arts. We will provide alternatives to our usual in-person activities and invite you to contact us via phone, email, or social media with suggestions and questions, or just to say hello.

We’ll get through this and learn to practice “social distancing” without “social isolation.”

RiverArts’ popular Clay Studio, the only one in our area, provides equipment and workspace for our many potters, as well as classes from beginning pottery and sculpture to advanced workshops.

Pottery classes include hand building, throwing on the wheel, raku, and the exploration of different glazing and firing techniques. We endeavor to inspire the creative forces in all of us, from beautiful vessels, gracefully formed on the potter’s wheel to imaginative hand-built forms, Talavera decorating technique. and more. . Many short workshops enable even the inexperienced to produce a personal piece of art you can show at home or present as a gift.
