A Dickens of A Christmas at RiverArts

Victorian fun in all our locations:

At the RiverArts gallery, our Holiday Show and Sale continues with beautifully inspired, creative gifts for everyone on your list.


First Friday: Student Art Show featuring the work of Kent School Students.

Saturday morning, extended hours, 9am – 1pm: Free Victorian themed crafts and activities including paper ornaments, luminaries, and thaumatropes for ages 2 – 12 with a grownup.




Clay Studio and ArtsAlive!

Bottomless Mugs, Friday 5 – 8pm & Saturday 10am – 4pm: Buy a handmade mug for $20 at the Clay Studio, and fill it up with hot chocolate, cider, coffee, or tea all day long!

Victorian Crafts at ArtsAlive, Friday 5 – 7pm: All ages of Dickens fans are invited to drop in to make a simple but beautiful Victorian fan. No fee or advance registration required, but a donation of $2 – $5 to support our activities is welcomed.

Dickens Ornaments decorating, Saturday 10am – 4pm: Our Clay Studio experts will be on hand in the ArtsAlive space to guide you in decorating ceramic ornaments. Paint 2 ceramic ornaments of your choosing from our prepared stock of handmade bisque ornaments. Decorate them in class, and we will fire them afterwards for you to pick up 1-2 days later. Or, we can mail them for an additional fee of $6 (as many as can fit in a flat rate box). Fun for kids and grownups alike. Click here to register in advance, or drop in that day! $15 per person. 



Victorian Life Drawing, Saturday 11am – 4pm: Pop in to try your hand at drawing a proper live Victorian model! All supplies & guidance provided by RiverArts Life Drawing group.
