David M. Kessler is a contemporary abstract painter who travels the country teaching artists to loosen up their painting style while focusing on design fundamentals. David spent 28 years as an architect but gave up architecture because he felt he was serving his purpose on earth by teaching others to be better painters. He is the author of Bigger, Faster, Fresher, Looser Abstract Painting Workbook which has been used internationally by professionals and students alike since its publication in 2015. As one of the top abstract painting workshop instructors in the United States David’s innovative, extremely popular workshops are fun, fast paced, high energy and usually filled to overflowing with students eager to find a better way to paint. The workshops create a very positive and nurturing environment where fear is not allowed to enter. While many painters create DVD’s, David has chosen instead, to produce and offer a variety of online programs to better meet the needs of the modern artist including, Abstract Painting Academy, Design Fundamentals for the Artist and Visual Arts Business Academy. His paintings can be found in corporate collections in North Carolina and private collections worldwide. He works out of his studio in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
