All Ages, Families must attend together
For each Saturday in February, we will be partnering with Chestertown’s SandBox for an environmental art experience. Led by Trish Valerio of Washington College’s SandBox, the workshops will focus on how art and the environment intersect.
NOTE: THE FEBRUARY 14 WORKSHOP IS ALMOST FULL. SIGN-UPS RECEIVED 2/12 OR LATER ARE NOT GUARANTEED A SPOT. WE WILL LET YOU KNOW BY FRIDAY 2/13 IF WE ARE ABLE TO ACCEPT ANY MORE PARTICIPANTS OR IF WE HAVE ANY CANCELLATIONS. THERE IS STILL PLENTY OF SPACE IN THE WORKSHOPS ON 2/21 AND 2/28.

Creative Plaster Masks – Two-Week Workshop
March 14 & 21, 1-3 p.m.
In this hands-on art experience, participants will make and decorate a plaster mask of their own face! In week one of the workshop, students will learn to cast molds of their own faces. In week two of the workshop, students will turn their plaster mask into works of art. Students should plan to get messy!
This workshop will be led by Stephanie Spencer. Stephanie has a BS in Art Education from Frostburg State University and advanced certification with an emphasis on technology in instruction. She has taught 2D/3D Visual Arts for six summers for the Upper Chesapeake Summer Center for the Arts. Stephanie has been an art teacher and Fine Arts Department chair at KCHS for 16 years.
