RiverArts Update – August 2020

RiverArts has suspended in-person group programs and activities in all our locations for the time being, based on recommendations of health experts and requirements of the State of Maryland.
We believe people need the Arts more than ever during times of stress and crisis, and we remain committed to our mission of growing community, creativity, and connection through the Arts. We invite you to sign up for our Daily Dose email newsletter (blue button below), and to join in the exciting new programs including weekly Salon discussions, Photography Club and Craft Club meetings, and others, with much more to come.

Please feel free to contact us via phone (410-778-6300), email (, or social media with suggestions and questions, or just to say hello.
We’ll get through this and learn to practice “social distancing” without “social isolation.”

Open every Saturday free of charge to kids 2 to 12 years old accompanied by an adult, KidSPOT is a hands-on children’s creativity center that provides opportunities for kids to play, create and explore, thus expanding creative expression and problem-solving skills that will benefit them throughout their lives.

We’re sorry, KidSPOT is temporarily closed …

KidSPOT invites children aged 2-12 accompanied by an adult for weekly free drop-in discovery art and creative play in a friendly space In the heart of downtown, Saturdays from 9:00 am – noon. Unique projects and activities are offered each week, and no reservations or enrollment are required.

KidSPOT also partners with local schools through programs including Kids in the Gallery field trips, First Friday Student Art Exhibits, Annual Student Shows in the main gallery, monthly classes at the Judy Center, as well as other collaborative activities.

At KidSPOT, we believe that encouraging creativity in children sparks dialogue and problem solving, and empowers young people to engage as valued members of our diverse community.
