A RiverArts member said recently, “the Arts make people and communities whole.” This is a perfect articulation of the belief underlying all of the programming, activities, and events at RiverArts. When you give to RiverArts, you are part of an exciting, growing organization, and a pillar of the vibrant Kent County arts scene. You give individuals and communities a place to create, learn, and grow through the Arts.
Supporting RiverArts means supporting arts programming and activities that enrich Kent County and enhance the lives of locals, visitors, children, adults, artists, art lovers, and the “art-curious” on the Eastern Shore. Your donations give the local community access to meaningful engagement with the Arts and make Kent County an arts destination for the whole mid-Atlantic region and beyond.
RiverArts’ mission is “growing community, creativity, and connection through the arts.” We are active, inclusive, and we believe that the creative impulse is a human instinct through which we share our experiences, our emotions, and our compassion.
It brings hundreds of people to the RiverArts Gallery for First Friday receptions, draws kids and parents to KidSPOT for Saturday morning drop ins, after school enrichment programs, summer camps, and “Kids in the Gallery” programs, and attracts students and artists to the Clay Studio and ArtsAlive Education Center to be inspired, learn, and create.
Heading into 2020, RiverArts is an organization more than ready to rise to a new level of aspiration and professionalism as a center of arts that engages all parts of a community that includes fine artists creating work to enter in shows around the globe, craftspeople designing exquisite and sought-after pieces in wood, metal, glass, textiles and anything else you can conceive, newcomers approaching a canvas or a lump of clay for the first time, and children discovering the joyful magic of the Arts—and engaging as valued members of a diverse community.
Your help makes it all possible—thank you for your commitment. Please support RiverArts with a generous donation of $25 to $25,000 or more. Because of you, the lights stay on, the classes run, the kiln fires, the kids learn, and the work hangs in the gallery. With this contribution, you build community through the Arts.
Consider a gift of $1,000 or more to join our Visionary Circle, with benefits including an engraved leaf on the beautiful Giving Tree in the RiverArts Gallery and exclusive special events.
Planned giving can offer substantial tax benefits as well as the opportunity to support RiverArts in a significant way.
